Wi-Fi is free and there is an indoor lap pool but the real star is the gorgeous modern design at the DoubleTree by Hilton Istanbul - Piyalepasa. The mid-rise DoubleTree makes a bold impression with its soaring lobby adorned with modern lighting and sleek furnishings. The 203 elegant rooms both smoking and non-smoking overlook the lobby to form an interior courtyard which also houses the hotel's restaurant and bar. Lavish rooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows stone bathrooms and minibars. Guests are also treated to free Wi-Fi 20-inch HDTVs and mp3 alarm clocks. A business center and gym keep guests on track and other perks include a 24-hour front desk room service and valet parking. The DoubleTree is less than four miles from the historic center of Istanbul. Must sees in central Istanbul include the Blue Mosque the Hagia Sophia Museum and Topkapi Palace each within 15 minutes of the hotel. Families might want to travel 25 minutes west to explore the Istanbul Aquarium or 20 minutes east to visit Rumeli Fortress. And don't miss the Grand Bazaar three miles away. Ataturk Airport is about 12 miles away and for local transportation the ferry is just over two miles away as is the Taksim train station.
